About Saltist

Saltist (saltist.co.za) is a curated local business directory for the KZN North Coast. By using this website or submitting a listing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using the directory

Saltist is provided for personal and commercial use to discover local businesses on the KZN North Coast. You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or reproduce directory content without permission
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access
• Post or transmit harmful, misleading, or defamatory content

Business listings

Submission and approval

Listing submissions are reviewed before publication. Saltist reserves the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion. Submitting a listing does not guarantee publication.

Accuracy of information

Business owners are responsible for ensuring their listing information is accurate and up to date. Saltist does not independently verify all listing details. If you notice incorrect information, contact us at hello@saltist.co.za.

Founding period

Founding businesses approved during the launch period receive a complimentary listing for the first three months. After this period, a subscription fee applies to maintain an active listing. Saltist will notify you before any charges begin.

Content ownership

By submitting a listing, you confirm you have the right to use any text, images, or other content provided, and you grant Saltist a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the site.

Paid subscriptions

Paid listing tiers are billed monthly. Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed securely by Yoco. Saltist does not store card details.

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued. Saltist reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

Newsletter

By subscribing to the North Coast Insider newsletter, you consent to receiving periodic emails from Saltist. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter email or by emailing hello@saltist.co.za.

Intellectual property

All content on Saltist — including the directory, blog posts, images, and design — is owned by or licensed to Saltist unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce or distribute this content without prior written permission.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Saltist is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing information. Saltist is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from reliance on directory content, or from transactions between users and listed businesses.

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, our liability for any claim arising from use of the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of KwaZulu-Natal.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Saltist after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
